You awaken to blackness. Frightening, although familiar--this is the same terrible thing you narrowly avoided during your first trip into Lebensbaum. The pain of your death is still real, echoes of the wounds you suffered appearing on your skin. Inspecting your surroundings will tell you that you've woken up inside of the cooled, empty bonfire pit....and the town as it was is nowhere to be seen.
The sky is a whirlwind of blank, dark void. What previously acted as roadblocks on either side of the town seems to have moved upward, blocking out most of the sun's light. The street is barren, filled with piles of broken concrete, shattered glass, and smoking craters where many of the buildings used to be. Old bloodstains dot the pavement, mixing in with overturned cars and crumbling brick walls. Lebensbaum is a dead town, in more ways than one.
Except for the hotel. It stands, as dusty and abandoned as it ever was, but no worse for the wear. Scorch marks can be seen on the ground around it in a clear border, as though it had a barrier protecting it from whatever destroyed the village. If you venture inside, everything is in its place, as though the outside wasn't completely obliterated.
The living can be seen walking around, going about their daily lives, and if you concentrate, you can even see the buildings as they once were--in working order, clean, and in one piece.
As of Monday on Week 10, however, there is a door, seemingly pasted into the middle of the street. As the days tick by, the doors will increase in number, one for each victim.

Takao was already fairly close by, nearest to Clover of the three ladies and similar to Lithuania in coming from a place of prior inclusion, so he's in conversation range with only one or two big steps forward. He initially turns to her with one arm crossed and the other loosely gesturing, the classic stance of shittalking someone else, and speaks with a fairly calm, snarky edge.] I don't know about that. Komeiji-san is a "piece of shit", and these demons are terrible cheaters who can teleport holding other people, and they love making contracts with us, you know? So that's exactly why I don't trust Komeiji-san to be away fighting demons, when she's basically admitted she doesn't care about doing that, she doesn't care about anyone who'd be fighting beside her, and Satan could dangle Koishi-san in front of her face by snapping her fingers. I don't put it past anyone from freaking Sloth, and not Diligence either, to not do anything helpful in that situation.
[To Satori, as indicated by a shift of the head and singular you, with his arms more by his sides except for occasional raises, in the serious manner you'd imagine he uses for relaying instructions to teammates.] Having you with the hostages still might be a problem, even though I think it's the best option overall. Yeah, you proved that you care about Koishi-san, but at the cost of the life of one of the others, on top of the part where you killed Clover-chan and tried to execute someone else. Seriously, imagine someone like Rhys, who admitted all he cares about in the end is his girlfriend Fiona, do you honestly trust that guy with saving Koishi-san while he's at it? You're so paranoid about what other people are thinking, you have to see why Clover-chan would think that about you. Seeing things pretty well is actually one of the main reasons I think you'd make a good lookout for Papyrus and Alisha!
[To both.] It is totally worth considering whether this will go wrong, whether we won't do our parts or can't keep the team working together. I get that. Seriously. Maybe it can't happen this way. But she is definitely a liability in front of the demons unless she decides by herself to do her best fighting them. [With a slightly comic inflection.] Hey, I've never murdered or cast magic or whatever. [Now finally sounding passionate, and putting his hand over his heart.] I do know about playing in a team, though, okay? See, what matters the most is having a team of people who have practice at what they do and believe in each other and care about winning. If we don't have all those things going for each of us, we might lose. [And the words "hate to lose" are printed in large letters on magazine articles about Kazunari Takao.] I want to see everybody doing what they're best at, because we have to do all these things, it's not like Koishi-san and Light-san and everyone else will be safe for sure without the demons neutralized, right? So if everyone can keep that in mind and wants to do whatever would help the group most, with what they're the very best at, not just what they care about the most, I'd be the happiest man in the world. Himeiji-san, flying around for great mobility and making snarky commentary on where the hostages have to go next? Great. Clover-chan blowing stuff up, far away from big groups of people who could get hurt easily? Sign me the fuck up.
If that can't happen? We should at least settle it now. After the bullshit that happened here, some of us will never wanna speak to each other again. Kaguya Houraisan is not my friend or my comrade in arms or anything like that. What's the worst about this game though is that we have to hurt each other. Kill each other. Like, that's what makes it not a real game at all, because in a real game all the players should be in their best condition, and focused on performing better than the other team on their own merits. Not actually hurting or killing them!
That's not the team we've got, though. Since we've got to work with a lot of people who have murdered, before and after coming here! I don't like it either but that's how it is! We're here to wage all-out war against this stupid fake game of a ritual that has nothing to do with us. So I want the fighting among ourselves to be over and done with, like, let's get some decision that the whole team agrees on, way before we actually go out and fight one hell of an enemy.

It's fine if she wants to accuse me of not caring, but her insistence that I fight makes it apparent that she isn't taking this seriously at all...so that will make it difficult to come to an agreement, I think. And honestly, I'm going with the hostage team whether or not she agrees with that decision. It's exactly like you said - I don't trust anyone here with my sister, so if she has to go with someone else, I'd rather it be where I can see or hear what's going on. Now that she's not a bargaining chip, I don't have a quarrel with anyone else, either, so there's no reason not to at least get them untied and moving. The more people we get out of this unharmed, the more total these demons' defeat will be, and if you don't trust my moral fiber, then at least trust that I am petty and awful enough to let the chance to completely humiliate them motivate me.
